In conjunction with Shirin Neshat: I Will Greet the Sun Again, poets and artists across a range of media and from varied backgrounds read, performed, and reflected upon Neshat’s works in the Broad's exhibition galleries, delving into the universality of mysticism, metaphor, exile, politics, the natural world, feminism, and intimacy, all of which are reflected in Neshat’s films and photographs. Moore, the series featured poets Vickie Vertiz, Sholeh Wolpé, Shonda Buchanan, Kazim Ali, Majid Naficy, Carolina Rivera Escamilla, and Christopher Soto; filmmakers dana washington-queen, Jazmin Garcia, and Jennifer Saparzadeh; experimental vocalist and contemporary composer Odeya Nini; musician Sahba Motallebi; and scholar Houman Sarshar.
