The Broad (2025)


L.A. Intersections, a two-part festival-style series celebrating organic music and spoken word scenes that emerged in Los Angeles including punk, jazz, rap, noise, and the experimentation led by a new generation of Filipinx artists. The line up featured Iconic performers who shaped Los Angeles culture through The Desolation Center events that inspired Burning Man, Lollapalooza, and Coachella; The World Stage, fostering the language of jazz for generations of musical and literary artists in South LA; The Good Life Cafe, vital to LA’s nascent grassroots rap scene; and Cathay De Grande and Raji’s, the city’s most raucous punk clubs. L.A. Intersections was organized by The Broad and Jeffrey Boxer, Kamau Daaood, Pleasant Gehman, Michael Grodner, Medusa the Gangsta Goddess, Stuart Swezey, and Micaela Tobin.
