If the term “cutting edge” identifies the most adventurous and progressive forms of musical and artistic expression, the Bleeding Edge Festival was an exploration of the fluidity of genres that follows in the wake of “cutting-edge” experimentation.
Artists featured: Yo La Tengo, The Chemistry Set, Luke Temple, The Avett Brothers, Luther Russell, Robert Stillman’s Horses, ISIS and Greg McGrath, Matmos, Zeena Parkins, Sunroof!, Richard Chartier, Tim Hecker, Skoltz_Kolgen, Frank Bretschneider, Portable, and Frivolous. Montalvo Art Center presented the Bleeding Edge Festival in conjunction with the International Symposium of Electronic Arts Festival (ISEA) in San Jose.
